Odeh Books · for iPhone
Your books, kept from the source.
Photograph a receipt, bill or invoice. Odeh Books reads it, posts a balanced double-entry journal, keeps your statements live and prepares your VAT return. No manual entry, no spreadsheet reconciliation.

Not a receipt app. A ledger.
Each scan runs seven processes in one tap. Three of them you would notice; the rest keep the books defensible.
- 01
Reading the receipt
OCR reads the merchant, date, line items, VAT and currency, in English or Arabic.
- 02
Extracting the data
It classifies the document, picks the account, checks the tax registration number and keeps the supplier’s VAT exactly as written.
- 03
Posting to your books
A balanced journal lands in the ledger. Profit and loss, balance sheet, trial balance and the VAT return update with it.
| Account | Dr | Cr |
|---|---|---|
| Office Supplies | 420.00 | |
| Input VAT | 21.00 | |
| Cash - Main | 441.00 | |
| Total | 441.00 | 441.00 |
Twelve modules, one ledger.
Each module writes to the same double-entry ledger, so a sale, a stock movement and a lease payment all land on one balance sheet.
- 01
Scan to journal
Expense receipts, revenue receipts, bills (AP), invoices (AR), inventory purchases, lease contracts, customer advances and supplier prepayments. Multi-page, English or Arabic.
- 02
Financial statements
Profit and loss, balance sheet, trial balance, cash flow and aging reports, computed live from the raw transactions. Export to Excel and PDF.
- 03
VAT & e-invoicing
UAE FTA VAT returns with TRN-based registration, Saudi ZATCA (Fatoora) e-invoicing, and the UAE Profit Margin Scheme for second-hand goods.
- 04
Invoice generation
FTA-compliant tax invoices and receipts with atomic sequential numbering reserved on the server, so numbers are never skipped or duplicated.
- 05
Inventory, POS & manufacturing
Moving-average valuation replayed from every purchase, landed cost, sale, return and write-off. Barcode scanning, cycle counts, a point-of-sale register and bill-of-materials costing.
- 06
Leases under IFRS 16
Scan a lease contract and get right-of-use assets, lease liabilities and the monthly interest and depreciation schedule.
- 07
Advances & deferred revenue
Customer advances and supplier prepayments tracked as liabilities and assets, released into revenue and expense on schedule.
- 08
Payroll, cards & bank
Employee payroll entries, credit-card charges and settlements, cash and bank transfers, and bank matching when connected.
- 09
Cash-flow forecast & runway
A forward view of cash built from receivables, payables, recurring bills and payroll, with a runway estimate.
- 10
Financial health score
Liquidity, debt, profitability and runway distilled into one score with plain-language recommendations.
- 11
AI CFO chat & auditor
Ask questions about your books in natural language. A rule engine flags anomalies, duplicates and missing documents for review.
- 12
Carry forward & migration
Start fresh or bring opening balances and history from QuickBooks, FreshBooks, a trial balance or CSV.
The desktop companion, authorised by your phone.
Same account, same books, same subscription. Run invoicing, inventory and the point-of-sale register from a browser without creating another login.
- 01
The browser asks for a challenge
It shows the challenge as a QR code. The code identifies the browser, nothing else. Scanning it with the system camera does nothing.
- 02
You scan it from inside Odeh Books
Settings › Connect with Web ERP. The scan carries your own authenticated session, so the app identifies the person.
- 03
The backend checks both
Who is scanning, and whether that account is entitled to the Web ERP. Only entitlement written by the Apple-verified process counts.
- 04
The browser gets its own session
It exchanges the approval once and lands on the dashboard. A connected browser never takes one of your phone slots.
One set of books, everyone accountable.
Invite bookkeepers and staff, assign permissions, and see who scanned what. An owner account runs on up to three devices; team members work through device sessions the owner can revoke.
- Roles and permissions
- Every read and write resolves through the owner’s permission grants. A member sees exactly what they were given.
- Device sessions
- Members need an active device session to record transactions or reserve invoice numbers. Owners can end a session from Settings.
- Activity log
- Receipts scanned, invoices issued, stock adjusted: every action is attributed to a person and a time.
- Three device slots
- An owner account works on up to three phones at once. The Web ERP does not use one of them.
Built so the client cannot lie.
Neither the app nor the browser decides what you are allowed to do or what your balance is. That is enforced in the database.
- 01
Row-level security
Every table is protected by policies that resolve from your authenticated identity to the owners you may access.
- 02
Apple-verified entitlement
Subscription state is written only by a server process that verifies transactions with Apple. The app reads it; it never sets it.
- 03
No secrets on devices
ZATCA signing keys, StoreKit secrets and mail keys live in server-side function secrets. The client holds a publishable key that authorises nothing.
- 04
Sign in with Apple, Google or email
Accounts are bound to a verified identity, never to an email string. One provisioning path creates every account.

Straight answers.
Odeh Books is built for the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Jurisdiction rules cover FTA VAT for the UAE and ZATCA e-invoicing for Saudi Arabia. The app runs in English and Arabic and supports multiple currencies.
Expense scans, inventory scans and invoice generations all draw on one shared allowance: 250 per month on Pro and 1,500 on Enterprise. Add-on packs of 100 scans never expire.
Pro includes a 7-day free trial when Apple deems the account eligible. You are reminded before the first charge and can cancel anytime from your Apple ID subscription settings.
No. You choose whether a document is money in or money out and the app handles classification, journal entries and reports. That said, Odeh Books is a software tool and does not replace professional judgement for filings.
It has no login of its own. The browser shows a QR code, you scan it from Settings in the app with your own session, and the backend verifies your identity and entitlement before issuing the browser a session.
Your books live in a Postgres database with row-level security. Every access path resolves through your authenticated identity, and team members additionally need an active device session.
